A unique challenge for the women who got heart

The Défi des dames de coeur is a new activity dedicated to women who care for their health and who, at the same time, want to help the children affected by Dysphasia.

On Friday night, August 27th, 500 women will participate in the 5K walk / run in the streets of the Old City for a great cause. This friendly untimed challenge will raise funds for the Quebec's Dysphasia Association.
For each registration, $5 will be given to the Association.

 

Souvenir T-shirt

Each participant will receive the Défi des dames de coeur souvenir t-shirt at the finish line..
 
The medal

The women who will take up the challenge of completing 2 events on the same weekend, will get the Défi des dames de coeur medal.

In addition to the marathon medal, they will get on Sunday morning, August 29th, for having completed an event of the Marathon (42,2K - 21,1K - 10K or the Health 5K), those who also took part in the Défi des dames de coeur held the Friday night, will get the Défi medal. Both medals will be given at the Marathon finish line.
 
Start and finish

The start will be held in front of the Fontaine de Tourny, next to the Quebec City Convention Centre, where the Expo is held, at 7 pm.

The finish line is located at the Quebec City Hall garden.

Registration fees

The registration fee is $20, taxes included.
Checks are payable to the Défi des dames de coeur. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
 

IMPORTANT:
Entry fees are neither refundable nor transferable and that in case of an emergency such as, but not limited to, severe weather or threat of terrorism, the Quebec City Marathon’s team, in accordance with the city officials and the law enforcement, have the authority to cancel any of the events. If this situation happens, refunds wouldn’t be provided as funds would already have been spent for the preparation of the event.

To register by mail, print the form, complete it and mail it to the SSQ Quebec City Marathon. CLICK HERE to download the form.
On-Line Registration      Open until Wednesday, August 25th, at Midnight.

Confirmation of transaction email from Events Online.
If you do not receive an email, contact them right away. There is potentialy a problem

Packet pick-up & Last minute Registration

Bibs will be given out at the Sports and Fitness Expo, held at the Quebec City Convention Centre, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
 
How to collect funds and Turning in the pledges

CLICK HERE to print the form in PDF format. Fill it out and send it to the SSQ Quebec City Marathon.

Pledges must be turned in at the Sports and Fitness Expo Show while picking up your bib.

Come to the Fundraising booth to hand in your fundraising form with collected funds.
 
  • Charitable receipts will be sent for pledges of $20 or more
  • Checks must be made to:
            Association québécoise de la dysphasie, Capitale-Nationale
  • Pledges must be collected and turned in before August 28, 2010, 6 pm

    For each $150 raised, a $10 gift certificate from Running Room will be given.
